Comic shorts by African-American filmmakers, documentaries about a pair of died-too-young objects of cult adoration (Elvis and Jeff Buckley) and some of the most acclaimed international films of recent years are among the highlights of the 7th annual Memphis International Film Festival, which continues today through Sunday on two screens at Malco's Studio on the Square, 2105 Court at Overton Square.
Some 60 narrative features, documentaries, shorts, classics and animated and experimental films will be screened during the event, which is organized as a labor of love by volunteers with the not-for-profit Memphis Film Forum...
