This month's edition of the fest includes great films by some excellent filmmakers.
The Films:
Rockumentary- 40 Years of Your Favorite Records 1966-2006- directed by former Commercial Appeal music reporter, Larry Nager. An excellent documentary about the history of Ardent Studios as told by founder, John Fry.
Man-tute- directed by award winning filmmaker, Ken Axmaker, Jr. This comedy film was recently selected to represent Memphis on opening night at the Script-2-Screen Film Fest and Movie Biz Conference where
it won Best Comedy-runner up.
Friction- directed by former University of Memphis professor, David Liban. This 1997 experimental film delves into the past memories that drive and torment an emotional artist.
Music for ending credits:
No Big Deal- sung by Jay Ruffin from the Skeleton Key album.
