Rod Pitts: What Goes Around...

The premiere screening of What Goes Around… will be shown Thursday, April 6 at 9 p.m. at the Malco Studio on the Square. Tickets will be $5.00

“What Goes Around…” is a romantic comedy that centers on Talal, a young man with commitment problems. After growing tired of his girlfriend’s worrisome ways, he gets the itch to see what else is out there. But after spending time with an attractive classmate (Angela), he soon realizes that everything that glitters isn’t gold.

The movie was filmed entirely in Memphis and was directed by local filmmaker Rod Pitts (www.pittstopproductions.com) and written by Nazeeh Majeed. A large cast of local talent appears in this feature-length film.

Red West teaches acting class Thursday night. As Forrest Pruett puts it: Red brings his experience as a working actor in film, TV & commercials to the acting classes he has taught for more than 12 years in the Memphis area. Red's strengths as an actor’s coach lie in his strong motivational and disciplined acting technique, including some improvisation, nurturing the actor to reach within himself to achieve his/her own personal best in bringing the character on the scripted page to life.

On a mission to brighten the music world with a wild new album, “Muck Sticky Wants You” to attend a party to celebrate the release of this magical musical adventure.

The third self-produced album from this feisty kritter will be hitting the shelves in April. On March 31st, Muck Sticky will headline an exciting night of musical mayhem at the New Daisy Theatre on the famous Beale Street.

Complete with a crazy cast of characters, the Sticky Tribe includes Muck Sticky, his mother Momma Sticky, his sister Cookie, his buddy Wood, D.J. Furley Wally, and Kraven Snatchez.

Known for over the top stage antics and jaw-dropping lyrical content, Muck has made it his mission to spread laughter to the masses no matter what it takes. “Laughter is vital to your well being. There are a lot of people who don’t laugh very much and it’s our job to help those people!” said Muck.

With songs like “One Day at a Time”, “Thingy Thing” and “Party”, the new album is packed with happy times for those who appreciate this artist’s innovative style. Muck Sticky’s music ranges from the fun and quirky to the insane and impossible! “I have a purpose. My purpose is to help others see the fun side of life” said Sticky. “It’s that simple!”

Also performing that evening will be well known musician/stuntman Mr. Safety, the feel-good band Taco & Da Mofos, and the amazing Eldorado & the Ruckus. There will also be a special appearance by Jon W. Sparks. Doors will open at 7p.m. and admission will be $8. This is an all ages event. “Since Muck has not done a show here in four months we are very excited!” said Mike Glenn, owner of the New Daisy Theatre. “We always enjoy having this show here. You have to see it to believe it.”
